Kim & Patrick have been living in the Australian outback where Patrick works as a paramedic…. so a far cry from the Southern Alps of New Zealand! They have always loved the spectacular scenery here, and Patrick even proposed to Kim at Milford Sound, so the mountains certainly play a special place in their hearts. Whilst they wanted to elope here when they first started planning their wedding, they were also torn with wanting to spend the day with their family and friends back home in Australia. To make sure that they got the best of both worlds they decided on an Australian wedding, and a honeymoon/post-wedding shoot here in New Zealand. How perfect is that?!

The actual day that they had was nothing short of stunning. The flight took them into the heart of the Southern Alps (passing a few heli-skiing trips along the way!) to the stunning Lochnagar, and then back closer to Lake Wanaka with a second landing on Coromandel Peak, and a quick drive to the lakefront at Glendu Bay as the sun set.

Kim & Patrick… thank you both so much for being such a sweet couple! It was such a pleasure to plan your Wanaka heli-wedding shoot for you. We hope that the memories that you created will last a lifetime xxx
