On an unusually hazy summers evening, we travelled high into the mountains for Sia & Alex’s adventure elopement. In Belarus (where they are from) the landscape is wildly different to the landscape here in NZ (fewer wolves here!). It really was an honour to help them experience something completely different.
It was fairly windy on the day, and we flew to a sheltered spot on the south eastern side of Cecil Peak. Sia and Alex had added a fun touch to their ceremony by signing a bottle of delicious pinot noir. They pledged to open it in 10 years time, giving themselves a perfect excuse to reminise about their wedding day!
After the flight we snuck in a few photos down by the lakeside. Luckily for us, the haze created a really unique kind of light as the sun set. We rarely see this kind of light in Central Otago, so it was a perfect little added bonus for these two newlyweds!
Huge thanks to this small but fab team…
