Elopements, small weddings, intimate gatherings…these are likely to become a big part of our post-Covid 19 world! Luckily though, these are often some of the most EPIC weddings we plan on our beautiful mountains around Wanaka and Queenstown. There is flexibility that is impossible with a bigger wedding, not to mention the ease of dealing with smaller numbers! The one ingredient that everyone brings, no matter how they choose to marry, is a lot of love.

Some couples choose to elope just the two of them, others bring a handful of family and friends, others slightly more. Here at Boutique Weddings New Zealand, we specialise in planning elopements and intimate weddings. We also work alongside our sister company, Alpine Image Company to capture all of those beautiful moments – ensuring that your memories from the day are nothing short of stunning. We know that the thought of planning a wedding at the moment might feel a little daunting, but we’re always happy to chat things through and give you a bit of insight into how we can make things easy for you, so do get in touch!

Each season in Queenstown and Wanaka has its own beauty. Winters here are stunning with snow covered peaks and crystal clear skies – perfect for helicopter weddings on remote glaciers. Spring is always welcome with warmer weather and longer days. Summers here are hot, and perfect for lakeside ceremonies. And autumn is possibly our favourite month of all, with a kaleidoscope of colour and stunning backdrops.
